The 34-year-old Super Bowl champion is an executive producer on My Dead Friend Zoe, a film debuting at South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas on March 9. The movie, directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, is also the first film financed through renewable energy tax credits, PEOPLE confirms.
Investors took advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which President Joe Biden signed into law in August 2022. The production used funds from entrepreneur Mike Field’s sale of surplus tax credits, reports Variety. Field is also a producer on My Dead Friend Zoe.

The Inflation Reduction Act is the “single largest investment in climate and energy in American history, enabling America to tackle the climate crisis, advancing environmental justice, securing America’s position as a world leader in domestic clean energy manufacturing, and putting the United States on a pathway to achieving the Biden-Harris Administration’s climate goals, including a net-zero economy by 2050,” according to the Department of Energy’s website.
