An indie film titled My Dead Friend Zoe—starring Natalie Morales, Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris, and Sonequa Martin-Green—is set to premiere at the SXSW Conference on March 9 in Austin, Texas.
Although details about My Dead Friend Zoe are sparse, the film’s plot follows a female Afghanistan veteran “engaged in a mysterious relationship with her dead best friend from the Army” as she “comes head to head with her Vietnam vet grandfather at the family’s ancestral lake house,” per IMDb.
