When it comes to music and sporting brands, collaborations are becoming increasingly common. The latest online buzz suggests a potential collaboration between Taylor Swift and adidas.

Swift, a trendsetter with a massive fanbase, has been spotted wearing adidas shoes recently. This has sparked speculation among Swifties and industry experts about a possible collaboration.

Partnering with footwear brands wouldn’t be new for Taylor afterall. Over a decade ago, she designed her own colorways for Pro-Keds based on her albums. Even adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden recently hinted at his interest, acknowledging Swift’s current preference for adidas and the potential for a formal partnership.

However, there are hurdles. Unlike other celebrities, Swift is known for being selective with endorsements. Her own merchandise ensures a steady stream of revenue.

Additionally, adidas is still navigating the complexities of their past partnership with Kanye West. The long-standing friction between Kanye and Taylor, stemming from the infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards incident, adds another layer of complication.

Therefore, a Swift-adidas collaboration isn’t a certainty just yet. However, the idea has generated excitement, and adidas clearly recognizes the potential. They have a history of musical partnerships, from their long-running collaboration with Pharrell to the recent (though not-so-successful) attempt with Beyoncé’s Ivy Park.

Only time will tell if adidas can convince the pop icon to officially join forces with the Three Stripes.
