In July, Joe refuted Sofía’s repeated claim that their marriage ended because she didn’t want to have kids, accusing her of painting him as someone who had “some sort of midlife crisis.”

Sofía Vergara has responded to Joe Manganiello’s comments about the reason for their split.

Joe and Sofía were married for seven years, and in the aftermath of their July 2023 divorce, Sofía confirmed rumors that they broke up over conflicting feelings about having kids together.

“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids, and I didn’t want to be an old mom,” Sofía, who already has an adult son, told Spanish newspaper El País back in January.

“I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore,” she continued. “I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother.”
