Unbelievable; She stalked me online Taylor Swift lookalike reveals how the star hunted her down to arrange a meeting… after the uncanny fan’s Bad Blood costume led to social media interactions
A Taylor Swift lookalike has revealed how the star ‘stalked her online’ to arrange a meeting after seeing their likeness on social media.
Scottish TikToker Rebecca Smile took to the video sharing site to regale the story of their meeting, after a fan queried if she had ever seen the star face-to-face.
In an incredible story she explained how Taylor, who is known for her close interactions with fans, reached out to her via ‘her team’ to arrange a meeting having seen her homage to Taylor’s costume in the 2014 video for Bad Blood.
After Rebecca shared an image in a similar dramatic look to Taylor, the songstress reached out and they met while Rebecca wore her replica ensemble.
When her follower asked: ‘Has Taylor ever met you?? You’re so gorgeous’, Rebecca regaled the story of the meeting while also revealing that Taylor liked a host of her social media posts and stayed in touch online.
Telling her story to camera she said: ‘Yes Taylor has met me and to cut a long story short she stalked me online and got her people to contact me…
‘[They said]: “Taylor really wants to meet you would you like to meet her?” And obviously I’m like “Duh yeah” And here’s the picture and she saw my Bad Blood costume that I’m wearing online and she absolutely loved it…
‘She asked to meet me. Yeah she’s just the nicest person in the whole world and I’m still in awe that this even happened. Like every time I mention it I’m still shocked by it because it was just the nicest thing…
‘It’s just the craziest thing that’s ever happened to me to be honest. It’s funny because last night I found my old folder of Tumblr screenshots for Taylor’s likes from my account but yeah there’s a lot of them…
‘It just shows that after we met she’s still keeping up with me and like it’s just the nicest thing, it’s so nice…
‘I have so much respect for Taylor I’ve been a fan for 15 years. I will always love and respect her and I will always vouch for her because that’s just what I do.’
She later shared a tweet in which Taylor posted her image alongside a note revealing Lily Aldridge and Gigi Hadid – who both starred in the Bad Blood video – had sent her the images to show the excitement of the European fans.
She penned: ‘I knew the Europe crowds would be amazing when Lily Aldridge and Gigi Hadid text me pics of these Bad Blood costumes.’
