Travis Kelce set for a huge comeback? Former Chiefs star backs troubled TE for explosive Week 3
Ex-quarterback Chase Daniel predicts a decisive game against the Falcons for Kansas City’s struggling tight end.

Travis Kelce’s season has started more slowly than anyone expected. The Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end went almost unnoticed in the team’s first two games. But his breakout moment could be on the horizon-at least according to former Chiefs quarterback Chase Daniel.

The University of Cincinnati graduate has been a key part of head coach Andy Reid’s offense since he was drafted in 2013. Just last year, Kelce notched 93 receptions, 984 yards, and five touchdowns.

This season, however, has been different. After matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, Kelce has just four receptions for 39 yards. This has raised concerns among fans, who are left wondering what’s wrong with the three-time Super Bowl champion.

Amid the criticism, Daniel has come to Kelce’s defense, assuring fans that the tight end will shine in the Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Daniel Asks for faith in Kelce and Reid
On his social media account on X (formerly Twitter), the former quarterback and current NFL Network analyst said, “Travis Kelce is going to be a HUGE part of Andy Reid’s first 15 scripted plays this week.”

He also called for more trust in Reid’s25 years of head coaching experience, stating, “No one is better in this business than Andy Reid at this!”

During an appearance on the analysis show The Facility, Daniel emphasized that Reid will likely move Kelce around the field more, involving him in the team’s set plays to increase his chances of making big plays as the game progresses.

Additionally, second-year receiver Rashee Rice has been gaining attention, lightening Kelce’s load. Defenses also tend to focus on containing the tight end, which opens up opportunities for other receivers to step up.

Sunday’s game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium could set the tone for the rest of Kelce’s season. If Daniel’s predictions hold, the 12-year veteran may be poised for a stellar year.
