Travis Kelce may have had a disastrous start to the NFL season, but away from football his life appears to be running far more smoothly.
In fact, wedding planning with Taylor Swift is already well underway, and the Chiefs star has lifted the lid on one big decision the couple have made ahead of the big day.
Despite no date yet being set, they have already finalized their decision on the big ‘DJ vs live band’ debate that all couples have before tying the knot.
Jimmy Fallon was this week’s big guest on the New Heights podcast, and he asked the NFL superstar: ‘Are you working on planning the wedding? Are you doing this now? Is that the next step?’
In response to the late night talk show, Kelce said: ‘Yeah, that’s the next step in it all. That one’s going to be easy, I’ve just got to figure out how to win a football game first.
‘The wedding’s going to be easy compared to trying to f***ing catch a goddamn football.’
Digging a little deeper – such is his day job – Fallon then asks: ‘Are you going to DJ or band? Are you thinking about all this stuff?’
Travis then gives his big reveal, explaining: ‘Yeah I think we’re live music kind of people, so…’
Most fans would have expected that to be the case, given the superstar music career of the bride, but it remains to be seen who Swift decides will sing at her wedding – or if she’ll do a tune of her own on the big day.
Very few details have so far been revealed about what will certainly be ‘wedding of the year’ whenever it happens, including the date – though next summer in Rhode Island has been speculated.
Kelce got down on one knee in the garden of his Missouri mansion earlier this summer to ask Swift to marry him, with the pair revealing their news to huge fanfare on Instagram last month.
In a post that has now gathered over 37 million likes, Swift told her fans: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’
