Travis Kelce: Nine-time Pro-Bowler. Five-time All-Pro. Three-time Super Bowl champion. And, now, actor.

Kelce made his much-anticipated acting debut in the latest episodes of FX horror series “Grotesquerie” on Wednesday, appearing late in the third episode.

The Chiefs tight end plays hospital orderly Ed Lachlan in the series, but it took some time for fans of the star to actually see him on the screen. He wasn’t featured in the first two episodes of “Grotesquerie,” which were released on Sept. 25, so it took another week until Kelce’s big moment arrived.

Here’s a look at Kelce’s first on-screen appearance and how fans reacted to his big break in show business.

The camera finally panned to Kelce for the big reveal near the end of the third episode on Wednesday night.

“Ed, Ed Lachlan. But you can call me Eddie,” Kelce says in the first line of his acting career.

The Chiefs star looked like he had a hard time holding back his smile during his debut scene, but that could very well have been the way the scene was written. Even as a hospital orderly in a horror series, Kelce comes off as a charming, comforting presence in his initial conversation with Niecy Nash’s Detective Lois Tryon.

Kelce referred to himself as an “amateur” in an interview with Extra ahead of his acting debut, but he admitted: “I do enjoy it.”

One viewer gave Kelce credit just for branching out and dabbling in acting. He has more screen time lined up, as he’s set to star police comedy film “Loose Cannons” and is hosting a new game show on Amazon Prime Video.

Expect more reviews to come in Thursday as clips of Kelce’s debut circulate, but his appearance is geared toward a certain audience, and that audience is giving the Super Bowl champion a thumbs up for his first acting adventure.
