Chiefs coach Andy Reid had Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones address the team last night at the hotel. All were great. Kelce particularly so— ‘Unbelievable’ and ‘powerful,’ according to people in the room, to the point where some teammates were moved to tears,” Breer tweeted this afternoon.

Kelce has already won a pair of Super Bowl rings with the Chiefs, and he has played in this postseason like he’s itching to earn another.

Through three games, Kelce has logged 23 receptions for 262 receiving yards and three touchdowns. In the process, he broke Jerry Rice’s record for all-time playoff receptions.

We’ll see if Kelce and his teammates can live up to his message when Super Bowl LVIII kicks off tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce gave a stirring speech to the Chiefs on Saturday night.

Kelce made an “unbelievable” and “powerful” statement that moved some teammates to tears, sources in the room told Albert Breer of SI.com.

A Chiefs coach told Breer it was, “Not even close. The best talk/speech I’ve ever heard.”

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had Kelce, as well as Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones, address the team last night before they retired to their rooms at the team hotel. Even for a Chiefs team full of players who have played in multiple Super Bowls already, this one sounds like a particularly meaningful last team meeting.
