Taylor Swift’s new album achieves unprecedented success, the singer showers her fans with love for their support
“The Department of Tortured Poets” is Swift’s most successful album to date.
In an emotional and heartfelt Instagram post, Taylor Swift, 34, expressed her deep gratitude to her fans for the overwhelming success of her eleventh album, The Tortured Poets Department. The album has achieved a remarkable milestone, staying at the top of the Billboard 200 for twelve consecutive weeks, an unprecedented achievement in Swift’s illustrious career.
“I am completely blown away by what you’ve done – it stayed at #1 for the first 12 weeks of its release and that’s never happened to an album of mine before, not even close!!” Swift wrote, calling her fans the greatest.
The Tortured Poets Department has not only set a new personal record for Swift but has also made history. It surpassed her previous albums, 1989 and Fearless, which both held the number one spot for 11 weeks. Additionally, this achievement broke Whitney Houston’s record, whose album Whitney topped the charts for 11 weeks in 1987.
Taylor Swift is in good company
Swift’s latest album now joins an exclusive group of records that have maintained the number one position for at least 12 weeks, including Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time and Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life.
Reflecting on the incredible support from her fans, Swift noted, “You guys are so thoughtful,” acknowledging the heartfelt gestures and dedication that have propelled her latest album to new heights.
Travis Kelce’s girlfriend’s gratitude and appreciation for her fans’ unwavering support continue to strengthen the special bond she shares with them, making this milestone even more memorable.
Swift, known for her close connection with her fans, gave a special shoutout to the three Gelsenkirchen crowds, describing them as ‘amazing’ and ‘thoughtful’ in her latest post.
Germany fans also received love from “Tay Tay”
The Bad Blood sonsgstress recently performed sold-out shows at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, where fans demonstrated their creativity and support in unique ways.
“There were signs and paper hearts, the ‘betty’ wave, and tons of DIY ‘willow’ orbs made out of balloons + phone flashlights. Thank you!!!” Swift wrote, highlighting the fan-led project that added a special touch to her performances.
The “Willow orbs,” inspired by her hit track Willow from the Evermore album, became a growing phenomenon over the three concert nights, with more fans participating each evening.
The marketing team, Taylor Nation, along with various social media posts, documented the fan-driven initiative, showcasing the increasing number of orbs and the vibrant atmosphere at the concerts.
