Taylor Swift’s Backup Dancer Recalls Backstage Interaction with Ryan Reynolds at Eras Tour
‘This is a photo I never thought I needed.’

Kam Saunders is looking back on his backstage run-in with actor Ryan Reynolds following an Eras Tour performance earlier this year.

Saunders, a backup dancer for Taylor Swift, took to Instagram on Thursday, July 25, to celebrate the release of Reynolds’ new film, Deadpool & Wolverine—and he had the perfect photo to celebrate the occasion.

Sharing a snap taken backstage after the last Eras Tour performance in Madrid back in May, Saunders looked completely ecstatic to be posing with Reynolds, 47, who attended the show with wife Blake Lively and two of their kids.

“Today I want to celebrate my wonderful, incredibly generous, and kind friend @vancityreynolds,” Saunders, 32, wrote in his Instagram post on Thursday. “I was trying to find the right time to share this photo but I feel like today is perfect!!”

In the pic, Saunders is still dressed in his costume for Swift’s closing number, “Karma,” while Reynolds, dressed in a checkered button-down shirt, sweetly wrapped his arm around the performer.

Saunders went on to explain in his caption the events that led up to the iconic photo, writing, “As I was running off stage from our last show in Madrid, back in May, he jumped out and surprised me and I screamed like a little kid.”

“You can tell by how HUGE my smile is that I’m overjoyed to see him as it’s been way too long. 🥹,” he added.

Saunders finished the post by mentioning the actor’s new film, which stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

“I am so very proud of you and can’t wait for the world to bask in all of the hard work you’ve put into this film (Myself included),” Saunders wrote. “Sending sooooo sooooo much love your way! Congrats and bravo! 🤍🥹.”
