Taylor Swift inspires Travis Kelce to invest $4 million in new business in the Caribbean
Travis Kelce continues to grow his business career in anticipation of his NFL retirement
Travis Kelce’s latest investment of his $30 million net worth is in the Caribbean and Taylor Swift is the woman behind it as the Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar gets involved in the hotel and resorts industry.
The 34-year-old football player has always had an interest in ventures outside of the NFL but with his age in mind, as he begins to see retirement dawning on the horizon, he’s started to ramp up the pursuit of those business ambitions – especially thanks to the opportunities offered to him through his connection with Swift.
The pair have been dating since around August 2023 and it was a vacation they had together to the Bahamas which has inspired Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion, to put some money into the tropical region as he bids to become an ambassador for high-profile resorts.
“Travis is a dynamic guy that wants to invest in things that he loves,” sources told the US Sun. “And where he thinks that he will make very good business.
“He has been talking for many months now that hotels and resorts are a target for him, and there have been talks with many groups in the recent weeks to have him get on board as a shareholder.
“And even an ambassador for some groups that have hotels and resorts all over the world, like many beach places like the Bahamas, Thailand, some Greek Islands and Barbados for example.”
It’s anticipated that his deal as an ambassador would see him earn two million dollars for his troubles for an international hotel chain whilst he would also collect shares in the franchise, allowing for the crucial first-hand knowledge he needs to gain, according to the source speaking to the US Sun.
It’s thought that in return, Kelce’s investment will hit around four million dollars which should be comfortable expenditure for the NFL legend considering his Kansas City Chiefs contract runs through until 2027, on which he earns somewhere in the region of $14m per year.
