Sorry, BeyHive and Swifties — Beyoncé and Taylor Swift aren’t collaborating on Renaissance: Act II
But in the case of recent speculation that the Midnights singer is collaborating in some way with Beyoncé on her recently announced album Renaissance: Act II, the rumors are in fact not true. A source with knowledge of the situation tells EW that Swift is not featured on Bey’s new record in any way.
Internet theorizing was kicked into overdrive Tuesday when Grammy-nominated producer Killah B, who produced and co-wrote Beyoncé’s new track “Texas Hold ‘Em,” teased to TMZ that fans are “just gonna have to wait and see” if Swift appears on Act II. “Let’s just say [Beyoncé is] on the approach of shocking the world,” he said. “I’ll let your imagination decide what that means.”
The Renaissance singer unveiled the title, release date, and first two tracks from the new record, which appears to be country-tinged, following a Super Bowl ad she starred in Sunday. Swift, of course, started her career in country music, so a crossover between the two wouldn’t have been completely out of left field.
