Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Kim Porter’s Children Shut Down ‘Untrue’ Claims That She Wrote a Book Before Her Death in 2018
“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue,” Quincy, Christian, Jessie and D’Lila said in a statement on Tuesday
Sean “Diddy” Combs and Kim Porter’s children are speaking out after a memoir claiming to be written by the late model was released online.
In a joint statement posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 24, Quincy, 33, Christian, 26, and twins Jessie and D’Lila, 17, addressed the “many hurtful and false rumors circulating bout our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship.”
They added that “claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue.”
“She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”
They clarified that anyone speaking as a “friend” of Porter’s “is not a friend” and does not have Porter’s best interests in mind.
“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother,” the siblings wrote of Porter, who died of lobar pneumonia in 2018. “She was our world. And nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established.”
They shut down any speculation of “foul play,” and asked that fans “respect our request for peace” as they continue to grieve the loss.
“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives,” they wrote. “Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”
Lastly, Quincy, Christian, Jessie and D’Lila asked for respect, and for supporters to keep Porter’s legacy “in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves.”
The statement comes after KIM’S LOST WORDS: A journey for justice, from the other side…, purported to be Porter’s memoir, was released on Amazon this month. It details alleged disturbing and graphic sexual encounters with Combs and other well-known celebrities, as well as alleged physical abuse from the music mogul against Porter.
