The King and Queen have spent their summer at Balmoral, concentrating on the future of the British monarchy. King Charles recently hosted a gathering at the royal residence in Scotland where he discussed plans for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s future role within the royal family.

Absence of Prince Harry and Markle from royal discussions
The Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, her daughter Zara Tindall, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were present at Balmoral for the discussions, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were notably absent from this summer’s royal gathering.

Younger members as key assets’
The palace source noted that King Charles and Queen Camilla have a clear strategy of advancing the younger members of the royal family as key assets. King Charles is acutely aware that this younger generation is vital for the future of the monarchy and is focused on securing its legacy for the Wales era, said the source.

Sources revealed that, in addition to evaluating the line of succession, King Charles is considering establishing unofficial roles for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor, her brother James Wessex, and the Tindall children. The future of the royal family depends not only on the Wales family but also on other prominent members with significant profiles, according to sources.
