Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rush to downplay split as ‘mutual agreement’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have rushed to downplay a split from their Chief of Staff as a mutual agreement.
The Sussexes have suffered a setback as their Chief of Staff has left his role after just three months of working for them.
Josh Kettler stepped down from his role in the couple’s team and there were early reports that he had decided to quit the position.
However, a US publication with links to Meghan and Harry is reporting that Kettler’s departure was mutual.
People have said that Kettler was hired on a trial basis and that both sides felt he was not the right fit for the position when mutually deciding to go in a different direction.
A source told a separate US publication: “Josh Kettler is no longer working for them”.
Kettler joined Prince Harry on his most recent trip to the UK in May 2024.
The Duke of Sussex attended an Invictus Games anniversary event at St Paul’s Cathedral.
The blow comes as Harry and Meghan prepare to visit Colombia this month.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to undertake a four-day tour of the South American country after accepting an invitation from Colombia’s vice president.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet could join their parents on their upcoming tour, according to a royal source.
The insider added that Prince Archie, five, is more likely to make the trip to South America with the Sussexes than his younger sister, Princess Lilibet, three.
