Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes shared a heartwarming and loving reaction after their son Bronze revealed his “real name”
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, both 27, have been together since high school, evolving from teenage sweethearts to parents of three young children: Sterling Skye, born in February 2021; Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, born in November 2022; and Golden Raye, born in January 2025.
When naming their second child, the couple initially considered the nickname “Trey,” commonly used for third-born sons. However, Patrick’s brother, Jackson Mahomes, suggested the unique nickname “Bronze,” inspired by their first child’s name, Sterling. Patrick explained, “My brother Jackson… said, ‘What about Bronze? It fits perfectly with Sterling.'” He added that the nickname allows their children to have a special connection while giving their son a distinct identity beyond his formal name.
Brittany humorously noted that she must refer to their son by his full name, Patrick Mahomes III, to avoid upsetting Patrick, who prefers the formal designation. She shared during an interview, “I have to say his real name or his dad will get mad.”
The Mahomes family celebrated Bronze’s second birthday in November 2024 with a golf-themed arcade party, highlighting their close-knit family bond and love for creating memorable experiences together.
In a candid moment, Brittany shared a photo cradling 15-month-old Bronze, captioning it, “My VERY attached baby boy,” reflecting the deep affection and attachment within their family.
Through these personal stories and choices, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes exemplify a loving and attentive partnership, dedicated to nurturing their children’s unique identities while cherishing their family unity.
