While Swift has attended every Chiefs home game this NFL season, she hasn’t cheered on Travis Kelce outside of Arrowhead Stadium since the 2024 Super Bowl. Still, fans wondered if she might make an exception for the Bills game, considering how close Buffalo is to Toronto, where she just played three Eras Tour concerts in a row.

Despite the manageable logistics, it seems Swift chose to take a break from football this week—and while she definitely deserves to rest up between shows, that may not be the only reason for her absense. Remember Swift’s last visit to Highmark Stadiums

During a recent appearance on the Up & Adams podcast, sportscaster Adam Lefkoe alleged the group did not receive the warmest welcome from Bills fans. “I have heard from people very close that it was not a great experience in Buffalo. It was not. For all parties involved. And I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties,” Lefkoe said, per Sports Illustrated. “I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got.”

Lefkoe continued, “I think they were kind of going in being like, ‘This is going to be an amazing game with good energy.’ And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form, in its complete ruthlessness.” He added, “And I think they left and went, ‘I don’t know if I want to experience that again”.
