Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck seem to be in a waiting game at the moment. Despite no public statement that a divorce is imminent, everything points to that conclusion at some point soon.

That sentiment was exacerbated recently when reports surfaced that Affleck purchased a home in Los Angeles that appears fit for just himself. That comes after Lopez and Affleck’s family home allegedly hit the open market. But could there be even a sliver of hope that they work things out?

Fans of both celebrities were given a lifeline on Thursday night, when photos showed Lopez wearing the engagement ring Affleck gave her during a night out.

Lopez was out and about in New York City, where she’s taking time to herself, away from all of the drama with her husband. J Lo was wearing a long dress that was complemented by red shoes and a red bag.

There’s still no apparent date for when Lopez and Affleck’s divorce will be legally finalized. According to a report from Page Six last month, the “marriage has been over since March”. Not officially, though; not yet. The rumors will keep floating until everyone sees the paperwork.
