Jennifer Lopez Remembers ‘Incomparable’ Robin Williams on 10th Anniversary of Actor’s Death
Lopez shared a clip of herself and Williams in the 1996 movie ‘Jack’ to honor the 10th anniversary of his death
Jennifer Lopez is remembering Robin Williams on the 10th anniversary of his death.
On Sunday, Aug. 11, Lopez, 55, shared a clip on Instagram from the beloved 1996 movie Jack, showing the actress’ character Miss Márquez welcoming Williams, who played Jack Powell, into a classroom.
Williams played a 10-year-old boy who suffered from a condition that made him look four times his age in the movie, leading him to face difficulties at school before he eventually won over his fifth-grade classmates.
“We all have a lot more in common than you think…,” Lopez captioned the clip.
“Celebrating 28 years of this very special movie JACK with the incomparable Robin Williams 🙏🤍 Cinema Sunday 🎬,” she added.
Williams died by suicide at age 63 on Aug. 11, 2014. On Sunday, Williams’ son Zak was among those to pay tribute to the late star on Instagram, sharing a photo alongside a touching note.
“Dad, it’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years,” Zak, 41, wrote alongside a picture of his father as Mork from the hit 1978 comedy series Mork & Mindy.
“Today, I’m reflecting on the immense love you shared with all of us—your family, your friends, and everyone you met,” he added.
