Could Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce go to the Met Gala together? Technically, yes! He doesn’t report to NFL training camp until July, and the event is on May 6, three days before Swift resumes the Eras Tour in Paris. This year’s dress code is “The Garden of Time,” which will surely lead to a swatch of botanical looks, but it’s also vague enough that they could really wear anything.

Over the course of her career, Swift has attended six Met Galas, looking pretty and polished in a floor-length gown at each, save for in 2016, when she wore a metallic Louis Vuitton minidress and dark lipstick. That was also the last time she attended.

As a rule, Swift does not walk red carpets with her boyfriends, and the Met Gala is sort of a loaded event in the Swift-verse. It’s where she danced with Tom Hiddleston, on the same night she met Joe Alwyn, whom she would date right after Hiddleston. To put Kelce into the mix might be too much. It would be a little odd for her to attend solo given how public her relationship is right now, but it would also be anomalous to go together.
