Is Prince Harry sporting some new ink?
That question quickly became a topic of conversation after he was spotted leaving East Side Ink, a popular New York City tattoo parlor, in a video posted on X.
While the tattoo shop couldn’t confirm any details about his visit to PEOPLE, the online clip showed the Duke of Sussex, 40, walking out of the tattoo shop wearing dark jeans and a tan jacket.
His outfit made it difficult to see if he had gotten a tattoo, but PEOPLE can confirm that he was in the shop for about an hour on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
While it’s uncommon for British royals to have tattoos, Prince Harry would not be the first to sport some ink.
His cousin, Princess Eugenie, has a small black circle tattooed behind her left ear. Lady Amelia Windsor has various tattoos, including three bear cubs, a tiger on her left shoulder blade, and a petal on her rib cage.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of days in the Big Apple for Prince Harry, as he also made a surprise appearance on the Thursday, Sept. 26 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
He and host Jimmy Fallon got ready for the start of the spooky season by making their way through the Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares haunted maze at Rockefeller Center.
Throughout their venture, they escaped terrifying creatures, including a scary, zombie-like werewolf, and celebrated exiting the maze by taking a photo.
The prince’s schedule also included attending a high-profile dinner organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Sunday, Sept. 22, that focused on “Violence against children and its impact on mental health” and joining The Diana Award to host a panel discussion at the annual Concordia Summit a day later.
In addition, the Duke of Sussex attended an event supporting The HALO Trust and participated in events for Travalyst, his environmental tourism initiative, and African Parks.
