Devin Culp vs. Travis Kelce 40 time: Which tight end comes out on top?
While comparing him with Kelce, the NFL insider said, “Bowers is probably the next one now. Travis Kelce is about as high of a bar as you can possibly clear this side of Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce, obviously had a unique backstory in terms of where he got drafted and why he slid in the draft. Bowers is not going to be somebody who you’re looking at on Day Two here. He’s going to be off the board. I would anticipate in those first 20 picks we’ll see whether or not and to what extent he actually works out when the drills get going over at Lucas Stadium… but there’s no question I mean, he’s one of the best prospects in this draft.“

Additionally, Pelissero suggested that Bowers is NFL-ready and highlighted his potential impact, especially if he joins teams like Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes, who “knows how good he potentially could be, if he goes someplace else in with a quarterback, we’ve seen plenty of other tight ends disappear.” Does this mean Kelce could have a backup — or could he become a backup?

Bowers has exceptional burst and speed.” According to several experts and NFL analysts, he is a standout tight end, expressing his enthusiasm for the position’s prominence in the NFL. As a back-to-back winner of the John Mackey Award, he has been a notable figure since freshman year, contributing to Georgia’s success and winning numerous accolades.

Despite missing part of his final season due to an ankle injury, Bowers is recognized as a potential Top-10 pick in the upcoming NFL draft, with attributes likened to Chiefs TE Travis Kelce. Draft analyst Colton Edwards said about Bowers, “He possesses the characteristics, attributes, and skill set to be a cornerstone of an NFL franchise. A cornerstone such as the Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce where the offense is dialed around him.“
Bowers looks well-prepared for an NFL entry, including 2,538 yards on 175 catches and scoring 31 TDs in 40 games. It would be interesting to see which team he lands into (reportedly, his favorites are the Chiefs and the Jets) and how well he can establish himself as the next Travis Kelce!
