Gauff is in Paris to represent Team USA in tennis

Coco Gauff is enjoying the chaos of the Olympic village.

The tennis champion, who is set to play her first event in a rain-rescheduled doubles match with Jessica Pegula this weekend, shared a behind-the-scenes TikTok with some of her fellow Team USA members inside the village in Paris.

In the video, posted Saturday, July 27, Gauff looks overwhelmed before quickly filming through two bedrooms in the village, showing numerous athletes doing their hair, makeup and getting dressed. The clip was set to the sound, “feminine rage.”
“10 girls, two bathrooms #olympicvillage,” Gauff, 20, wrote over the clip, adding the hashtags “#olympics #olympicvillage” in the caption.

Gauff is fresh off her exciting duties as Team USA’s flagbearer during the Paris opening ceremony on the Seine on July 26. Gauff was the first U.S. tennis player to be a flagbearer for Team USA. She held the honor alongside NBA superstar LeBron James.

She documented much of her night on social media, writing alongside photos of herself wearing the white, Ralph Lauren flagbearer blazer, “what an honor… no words truly.”

During a press conference on July 26, Gauff told PEOPLE that her mom Candi and dad Corey actually knew that she’d been selected as the flagbearer by her teammates before she even did. The news was given to them early so they could be in Paris in time for the opening ceremony.

“They knew the news before me, which, I thought I was gonna surprise them on the phone, and [my mom] was like, ‘Yeah, I already knew,'” Gauff said in response to PEOPLE’s question. “So I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s great.’ But I’m glad that they’ll be able to come and be here. I know they’re excited.”
