Canadian Open 2024 Draw: Coco Gauff’s projected path to final ft. potential SF clash vs Jessica Pegula

Coco Gauff is the top seed at the 2024 National Bank Open, also known as the Canadian Open, which starts on August 6. The event marks the beginning of the North American hardcourt swing on both the WTA and ATP calendars leading up to the US Open.

Overall, it has been a successful season for Sabalenka. She won her second career Major at the Australian Open and also reached back-to-back finals in Madrid and Rome. The women’s draw at this year’s Canadian Open consists of 56 players with 16 seeded entries. Coco Gauff is one of the favorites to capture the title.The American has had a good season in 2024, going 37-11, winning the ASB Classic and reaching two Grand Slam semifinals. Gauff’s last few events have been disappointing, though, as she lost to Emma Navarro in the fourth round of Wimbledon and to eventual silver medalist Donna Vekic in the third round of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
