Kim Kardashian and her anti-aging salmon sperm: how she uses it and what the treatment involves

Celebrities have accustomed us to surprising and extravagant diets and treatments that break conventional routines. Kim Kardashian has gone a step further by explaining, in the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians’, her latest cosmetic discovery: salmon semen.

The businesswoman uses this product for its anti-aging effect and said she was very satisfied with the result.

The salmon sperm treatment costs around $500, as Kim Kardashian explained, and its application is done through injections in the face.

“I have salmon sperm injected,” she opened up during the reality show. Rejuvenating her face is one of the priorities of the influencer, who has shown that she pays special attention to taking care of her physique and has found a new treatment for her facial routine.

The efficacy of salmon sperm
As surprising as this cosmetic application may seem, there are studies that demonstrate the efficacy of salmon sperm.

As published in Allure magazine, salmon sperm contains polynucleotides, a key element for the production of collagen and for facilitating tissue regeneration. This ultimately causes the skin to look better and younger.

Its cosmetic application is not recognized for the moment by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), but it is a widespread technique in South Korea.

In fact, actress Jennifer Aniston confessed in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in August 2023 that she uses products made from salmon sperm as part of her facial routine.

Caution for those allergic to fish

The published studies, however, insist that in the case of cosmetic products, the results vary from person to person.

Although this peculiar and striking treatment helps, among other things, to reduce wrinkles and expression lines on the face or to reduce certain scars and marks, precautions should be taken especially if the patient is allergic to fish.
