Prince William and Prince George Have a Father-Son Night Watching Favorite Soccer Team amid Kate’s Cancer Treatment

The father and son were spotted in the stands cheering on their favorite soccer team, Aston Villa, as they faced Lille OSC during the UEFA Europa Conference League 2023/24 quarterfinal match in Birmingham on April 11. Cameras caught the Prince of Wales, 41, and his son, 10, standing up and clapping, with Prince George sporting a scarf around his neck

Aston Villa secured the win with a score of 2-1.

Soccer player Tyrone Mings was also photographed near the royals. In June 2023, Prince William and Mings visited Sheffield together (and played some basketball!) to put a spotlight on how sports can connect young people with their communities as part of Homewards, William’s initiative to combat homelessness.
