Taylor Swift and Disney+ production at Hollywood sign gets scrapped after nearby residents expressed outrage
TMZ reported that various home associations and organizations were in contact with one another over the project and reportedly were not thrilled to learn Taylor would soon be in their vicinity.
The actual date of filming was scheduled for March 13 – just one day before Taylor releases her concert film, Taylor Swift The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), on Disney+ on March 14.
The website obtained the film permit neighbors received informing them of the production, which states what residents can expect during the project.
The permit said the crew would be prepping for the shoot on Tuesday, March 12 from 9AM to 10PM, followed by the actual film date of Wednesday, March 13, which also scheduled to last from 9AM to 10PM.
The crew was set to tear down the set on Thursday, March 14, another all-day endeavor scheduled to last from 9AM to 10PM, according to the permit.
The permit stated that filming will consist of ‘aerial photography with remote control aircraft’ with drone activity set to occur on Wednesday from 7PM to 10PM.
It also stated the purpose of the shoot is to film ‘Disney + TS.’
Taylor reportedly sold the exclusive film rights to her Eras Tour concert film for $75 million to Disney+.
The movie, which became the highest-grossing concert film of all-time, earning $261.6 million worldwide, officially becomes available to stream on Disney+ next month.
It will include five additional songs that were not previously included in theatres or past digital versions.
With her Disney+ payday, the Blank Space singer has made garnered more than $200 million in the movie business in just about six months.

Disney CEO Bob Iger called the performer’s tour ‘a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world.’
He continued: ‘The Eras Tour’ has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences whenever they want, exclusively on Disney+.’
