The Golden State Warriors have lost five-straight games after dropping Tuesday night’s contest to the Denver Nuggets. Based on their injury report for Thursday’s game against the Houston Rockets, Golden State will have a hard time avoiding a sixth-straight loss.

Veteran forward Draymond Green missed the Nuggets game with left calf tightness. Green remains out for Thursday’s game against the Rockets, and he will be joined on the bench by star point guard Steph Curry. The Warriors have ruled Curry out with bilateral knee injury management.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic: “Steph Curry and Draymond Green are both out for the Warriors tomorrow night vs Rockets. Bilateral knee management for Curry. Still listed as left calf tightness for Green, who underwent an MRI/tests today to determine extent of injury. Andrew Wiggins questionable.”

Given the team’s losing streak, Warriors fans have been reacting strongly to this injury news.

“6 game losing streak,” a fan wrote. “This team is beyond cursed. We cannot catch a damn break”

“End the season bro it’s over,” another fan stated.

“6th straight loss incoming, can’t wait to watch the highlights for this game the following morning because I am NOT staying awake so late to watch this and stress tf out,” a fan added.

“This is exactly what happens when you have to rely on all your old guys because the young guys can’t get it done,” another fan claimed.

While it is still early, the Warriors have been in a rapid decline down the standings that will be tough to stop with Curry and Green out on Thursday.

The Golden State Warriors headed into their Thursday night matchup against the Houston Rockets on a five-game losing streak and without their veterans Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Despite the odds being stacked against them, Golden State prevailed to win 99-93 and earn their 13th win of the season.

While Golden State saw a strong outing from Andrew Wiggins with 23 points and nine rebounds, it was another Warriors forward who led the way with his performance. Forward Jonathan Kuminga finished with a game-high 33 points and added seven rebounds as the 22-year-old showed flashes of what he can be in an expanded role. With this performance, Kuminga sparked his All-Star teammate to give him his flowers on social media.

Curry posted to his X account saying “Take over then 🙌🏽” to a video of Kuminga hitting the game-sealing and-one over multiple Rockets defenders.

As talk continues around the Warriors’ need to acquire a scoring threat alongside Curry in an attempt to make a serious playoff push, Kuminga showed the organization tonight that he can be that option when given the opportunity. In his past two games as a starter, Kuminga has averaged 26 points and six rebounds.

This past offseason, Golden State and Kuminga were unable to agree to a contract extension for the fourth-year forward as he is set to enter restricted free agency in the offseason.

Steph Curry’s Injury Status for Warriors vs Rockets

The Golden State Warriors are in a major slump. The team has lost five straight games where they’ve collapsed in the fourth quarter during numerous games. To make matters worse, the team was losing games when they were healthy, but now they’re no longer injury-free.

As the Warriors have gotten more injured, their opponents won’t be getting any easier. After losing to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, they now have the second-seeded Houston Rockets awaiting them tonight. Perhaps the most unfortunate thing for the Warriors is the fact that they won’t have Steph Curry available for the battle.

The Golden State Warriors have officially listed Steph Curry as out against the Houston Rockets due to bilateral knee injury management.

In Curry’s last game against the Nuggets on Tuesday night, he put up 24 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds on 35/27/100 shooting from the field. While it could have statistically been considered a great night for Curry, his shooting percentages were woeful.

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets once this season in November, but both teams look completely different now. The Rockets have started showing what they’re truly made of and are now the second-seed with a 15-7 record, but the Warriors have been on a tailspin. Even if Steph Curry and Draymond Green were available, the Rockets would be a tough matchup.

The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets face off at 10:00 p.m. EST tonight.
