Simone Biles debuted a drastic style transformation late last week following a hectic year that saw her triumph at the Olympics yet again while competing in Paris over the summer.
Biles, 27, shared the style update in a post on Instagram Stories on Saturday, Nov. 30. In the photo, which Us Weekly later published, the 11-time Olympic medalist posed for a selfie while standing in front of a mirror with her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. Biles was dressed comfortably in light gray sweatpants and a black long-sleeved crop top, while Owens wore white sweatpants and a white long-sleeved shirt with “TEAM USA” printed in black along the right sleeve.

Owens looked directly into the mirrored image of the camera on Biles’ phone as she held it up for the snapshot, which she took while seemingly looking at their pose as it appeared on her screen. Though part of Biles’ face was obscured by her phone, her new haircut was easy to see in the photo. Instead of her typically long locks, Biles sported a close crop of chin-length black hair.
The seven-time Olympic gold medalist captioned the photo on Instagram Stories by writing, “i cut my hair.” Another photo published on Saturday by Us Weekly provided a more complete view of Biles’ new hairstyle, which was slightly curled for her Instagram reveal.

The haircut is a recent style development for Biles, who just last week was photographed wearing her hair long while cheering for Owens and his team as the Bears played the Minnesota Vikings in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 24. However, Biles did recently test out a shorter hair length when she attended the 2024 CMA Awards last month. Biles, who presented an award at the annual ceremony, arrived for the event wearing a chin-length hairstyle similar to the cut that she ultimately debuted days later on social media.
