Queen Camilla has issued a new statement after Princess Anne, Princess Eugenie and the Duchess of Edinburgh shared their support.

The Queen took to social media with the new statement congratulating Team GB at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

She said: “As Patron of the @BritEquestrian Federation, I – along with our entire country – could not be prouder of every member of @TeamGB for your tremendous tally of medals at the @Paris2024 Games.

I am full of admiration for your skill, passion and determination and I send my warmest congratulations to you all. – Camilla R.”

Camilla’s statement comes after three other members of the Royal Family shared their support for the equestrian team.

Princess Eugenie, 34, wrote on Instagram: “The Olympics is one of the best things in our world.

“It’s such a special time watching superhuman athletes represent their countries, bringing people together and inspiring generations.

“Some of my most favourite memories from 2012 was being on the sidelines cheering on our heroes.

Not to mention, the best moment of all, watching my family win silver in eventing, goooo Z!”

The “Z” is a reference to Zara Tindall, Eugenie’s cousin, who won a silver medal during the 2012 Olympics during the equestrian eventing competition.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne, who is a member of the International Olympic Committee, was in Paris to give out Team GB’s first gold medal to the winning equestrian team, Rosalind Carter, Laura Collett and Tom McEwen, at the Chateau de Versailles.

The Princess Royal competed in the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games herself as an equestrian.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is currently in Paris cheering on Team GB at the Olympics.

The 59-year-old was seen wiping away tears as Team GB’s women cyclists pipped New Zealand to gold.

The duchess, in her role as patron of the British Cycling Federation, applauded the team who won in a lightning-fast 45.186 seconds.

Later, Sophie was seen taking selfies with fans in the stands, before the victorious three took to the podium to receive their gongs.
